Greenwashing Challenge
Discover how to distinguish between real sustainability and empty marketing, and how to identify opportunities to communicate better (and act consistently) in our daily lives.
Learn the fundamentals of sustainability with our four-module hands-on training.
Module 1
Real sustainability
In this first week, we lay the groundwork: what do we mean by true sustainability? We go beyond the generic “green” to explore key concepts such as ESG criteria, the SDGs, or tangible indicators such as carbon footprint or product life cycle. The goal is to enable everyone to recognize practices with real impact and distinguish them from mere aspirational statements.
Why does it matter? Because you can’t detect greenwashing if you don’t first know what a truly sustainable action looks like.
Module 2
Greenwashing detection
Here we develop critical thinking skills. We show real examples of campaigns that have been accused of greenwashing and teach how to identify warning signs: ambiguous language, lack of evidence, use of unverified claims, etc.
Why does it matter? Because many times greenwashing is not intentional, but occurs due to ignorance or lack of tools. Learning to detect it helps to avoid it.
Module 3
Responsible communication
In this block we focus on how to talk about sustainability with honesty and rigor, both in the work environment and externally. We address how messages should be formulated to be clear, transparent and verified. We also work on examples of communication in products, social networks or customer service.
Why does it matter? Because even a good practice that is poorly communicated can appear to be greenwashing. Knowing how to communicate well reinforces the credibility of the entire company.
Module 4
Consistent actions
We close the challenge with an invitation to action. The idea is to translate what we have learned into small everyday gestures that we can apply in our workplace or in our role within the company. From how we make decisions, to how we participate in projects or choose suppliers.
Why does it matter? Because sustainability is not a discourse, but a practice. This block helps each person to find ways to act coherently from their work reality.
