Environmental concerns are rather new to the international agenda, in fact, even the term climate change did not make it to supranational affairs until the 1970s, and even then it remained in the background of urgent issues. More recently, the notion of climate change have been developed and defined in a more accurate way, leading us to understand all that it really encompasses, and therefore making it easier to comprehend what needs to be done in terms of climate action.
